Winter to Spring in 2020

by | Dec 31, 2019

It’s almost 2020. A new year. A new decade. And I’m ready.

We all have choices we alone can, and need, to make. No one is stuck permanently. There is always room and space to change, to stay, to leave, to work, to relax, to quit, or to start anew. Always. It’s not too late. I am not one who believes we have to be devastated from any situation forever, nor do I believe that is God’s will for our lives.

I believe there is a time for everything:  “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” I believe in a God who heals. I believe in a God who restores in all ways. So although we may have some tough feelings resurface throughout our lifetime, we can also live in joy. It’s never too late to grasp hold of a new dream or realize a new purpose, and today is always a good day to take a step forward.  Life is always changing. Although it can be painful, it doesn’t have to be the end. If we have another day to live, then there’s hope for something new to be born.

One of the biggest lies we believe is that we are stuck with no options. I refuse to believe that. That lie comes from the enemy, not God. Ignore the naysayers! It all starts with a choice. It might take a ton of hard work, but change starts with one decision. And then it continues with each decision thereafter.

With a ton of prayer, I worked and accomplished some of my goals and dreams last year. I’m looking forward to making more strides in this new year. I want to live with passion and purpose – with love and ministry for others. So Jeff and I continue to chase after some God-given dreams. I’m saying “yes” to more of God’s purposes for me in 2020!

What about you? Isn’t it time to stop letting life drag you through each day? Why don’t you make a choice to begin moving in a direction that will use what you’ve been through for God’s glory and someone else’s good?

I pray that each of you will be blessed with joy, peace, and a sense of renewal to live a purpose-filled life. Let’s not waste days living in the past. I still believe God turns winter into spring!

Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see what God does next in all of our lives!
